What is sheet metal?

The word sheet metal is partly used for the material steel, which is based on iron ore produced in smelters and rolled and cut into flat discs. There are many different grades depending on the different types and amounts of other elements added, known as alloys. But we also talk about sheet metal itself, which can consist of other metals such as aluminium, brass and copper, etc.
